Privacy Policy

How your files and personal information are handled.

← Browse all tools

This policy describes FileMelon’s current image tools, PDF tools and online-form photo helpers. They process selected files inside your browser.

01Who operates FileMelon

FileMelon is operated by Karan Sobti, operating as FileMelon, at B-596, Sudarshan Park, New Delhi 110015, India. Email: [email protected]. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this operator.

02Your files

Selected images and PDFs are processed inside your browser. These tools do not upload file contents or filenames to a FileMelon server. Previews and results are held temporarily in browser memory. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.

03PDF previews and downloads

PDF files, page previews and generated results are held in browser memory while the tool is open. The PDF tools use self-hosted open-source libraries, fonts and rendering assets. Your browser requests those assets from this website; selected documents and their filenames are not included in those requests. Clearing your selection or leaving the page releases working data. No files are sent to third-party converters.

04Website requests and logs

Your browser requests website pages and assets from the server. The current local preview server records request information such as the requesting IP address, time and requested path. This is separate from image processing. Production hosting providers, logging practices and retention periods will be identified before public launch.

05Cookies, analytics and advertising

The current tool does not set cookies, use browser storage, include advertising, or load analytics or third-party tracking scripts. We will update this policy and provide applicable choices before introducing these features.

06Privacy questions

No account or personal profile is required. For privacy enquiries, email [email protected]. See the Contact page. Please do not send confidential images with a support request.

07Future tools and changes

If a future converter sends files to a server, its page will explain this before processing, including relevant storage and deletion practices. The browser-only statement above applies to the current image tools, PDF tools and online-form photo helpers.

08Privacy requests and complaints

Contact the operator above to ask about personal information contained in your correspondence or to request access, correction or deletion where applicable. We may need proportionate information to verify your request. Selected files processed locally by the tools are not available to us. Emails you send are handled through our Gmail mailbox and may contain your name, email address and message; we use this information to respond and handle your request. We retain correspondence only as needed for that purpose or applicable legal obligations. Your email provider and Google also process email under their own terms and privacy policies.

You may raise a privacy complaint with us and may also use any complaint or regulatory remedy available under applicable law. We do not require you to waive those rights.

Contact form processing

When you send a message through our contact form, your name, email address, selected subject and message are transmitted to Formspree, our form-processing provider, and forwarded to [email protected]. Formspree also receives technical request information, such as your IP address, for service operation and spam prevention. This contact processing is separate from the local image and PDF tools; those tools do not send selected files to Formspree.

We use your message to respond and handle your request. Submissions may be stored in the Formspree account and our email inbox; we retain correspondence only as needed for support and applicable legal obligations. Formspree and Google may process information outside India. See Formspree’s Privacy Policy and the email-provider policy for their practices. Do not submit confidential files or sensitive identity information. You can contact us directly by email instead.
